Normanton on Soar has its very own Community Store and Coffee Shop where the locals gather for a Coffee and a chat. We are situated behind the Village Hall, see our signs at the Village Hall car park entrance. We stock a wide range of convenience and local foods see below.

We are open weekdays from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 1pm.

We are run and operated by Volunteers and you can contact us on 01509 646464, or pop in and see us, we are at the heart of the community.

Village Shop – What do we offer?
We sell all your convenience foods including alcohol, greeting cards, stamps at competitive prices, we even stock a large selection of Ice Creams, as well as local produce such as:

Julia’s cakes and bread along with their delicious Jams and Chutneys
Fresh locally produced eggs
Locally produced Honey
Locally crafted had made jewellery

Coffee Shop

We serve teas, soft drinks and speciality coffees together with cakes, biscuits and Muffins at prices that are hard to beat. You can eat in, take away, or enjoy sitting in our lovely park area. We are a favourite haunt of cyclists enjoying our lovely Countryside as well as parents and children enjoying the Village Playing Fields. You can even enjoy a glass of wine in our relaxing surroundings. If you are hiring the very popular Village Hall pop in and see us.

Our Community

We offer a free book swap but make a small charge for purchasing books and you can even play Scrabble!! Our Coffee Shop really is the heart of our community pop in for a Coffee and a chat. Come and join us, and all profits are invested back into the shop.
